First Time Entrepreneurs
 
This interactive session will reveal the top tips for new entrepreneurs gathered from worldwide successful entrepreneurs and experts. Specific tips will also be discussed for startups in the Lebanese market. All your questions are welcome.

The teams will reside for 48 hours - from Friday 6 pm till Sunday 6 pm - at Seeqnce to execute their idea, a mobile application or a webpage, i.e. turn it into a working prototype. After those 48 hours, they will present their projects to a panel of judges, among whom are H.E. Minister Nicolas Sehnaoui, Dr. Khater Abi Habib, chairman of Kafalat S.A.L., and Mrs. Salam Yamout, National ICT Strategy Advisor to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The winning startup will be announced at the GEW 2011 Closing Party.

"The Entrepreneur's Journey and the Power of Mentorship" is an interactive session facilitated by the Mowgli Foundation’s MENA Director Lynn Brucker and Program Director Ian Prosser: meet Lebanese Mowgli mentees and learn more about the importance of skills-based training and mentorship to ensure your success as an entrepreneur; participate in the interactive “Happiness Index” and "The Hero's Journey" exercises; and network with other entrepreneurs and those who are here to support you.
 

Come join FSVC - SouthBIC and the Lebanese University IUT for a morning with 2 of the leading entrepreneurs from the South to discuss the differences between the Southern entrepreneurial ecosystem and other parts of the country. Nabil Zantout from Steritech and Samir Baytamouni from Mix and Bake will be presenting their enterprises and discussing how their respective enterprises evolved from an idea to the well established business concepts.
